We are looking for an experienced Spanish and Portuguese-speaking Technical Project Manager to manage the deployment and onboarding phases of key client projects in Latin America. The technical project manager will be responsible for managing contractors, installing necessary energy meters and IoT sensors, communicating progress and schedules to our LATAM-based customers, and coordinating the transfer of necessary information required to deploy our cloud-based energy management platform. Our Technical Project Manager will coordinate people and processes to ensure that our energy management software products are delivered successfully against a deployment and go-live project plan. The Technical Project Manager will be the go-to contact externally for the customer and installing contractors, as well as internally for Ndustrial’s Product, Engineering and Energy & IoT teams for all planning and organization around a project’s delivery. Technical Project manager responsibilities include developing detailed project plans, securing resource availability and allocation, and delivering every project on time within budget and scope. A successful Technical Project Manager has demonstrated proficiencies in engineering, management, budgeting and analysis in an industrial setting. They are an excellent communicator in English, Spanish, and Portuguese languages, comfortable managing multiple tasks, a team player and a natural problem-solver.

Requirements

  • Research project-local contractors,create scopes of work to convey project intent to customers, distribute RFPs, and manage bid process for installation contractors (including analysis of material and labor pricing)
  • Manage installing contractors, create / track contractor budgets and invoices
  • Manage Requests for Information (RFIs), Project Action Item Registers, and Change Order Processes
  • Serves as a conduit for competent communication between internal Ndustrial project teams, customers, and contractors. Fluent Spanish and Portuguese communication skills are critical for this role
  • Own regular project status updates with customer and internal project teams (e.g. weekly calls, project reporting)
  • Demonstrate operational excellence through coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors/installing contractors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Develop detailed project plans to track and communicate progress; Maintain excellent project documentation throughout the project lifecycle
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to internal project leadership as needed
  • Be customer-obsessed by managing strong relationships with the customer and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management measures to minimize and mitigate project delivery issues

Desired experience:

  • Proven experience in successfully managing electrical and / or controls installations in an industrial setting
  • Latin America regional experience is required
  • Experience with various energy management systems and electrical controls
  • CEM certification a plus
  • Customer facing experience
  • Ability to read and interpret building electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Experience with AutoCAD a plus
  • Working knowledge of IT/OT principals

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong proficiency in spoken and written Spanish to engage with Spanish-speaking clients, customers, or team members, and Portuguese fluency is a bonus
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to Latin America customer sites
  • Background electrical engineering for technical project managers
  • Excellent customer-facing and internal project communication skills (written and verbal)
  • 3-5 years of relevant project management experience
  • Strong working knowledge of common office software suites ie: Google Office
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and climb landers around industrial facilities for up to 8 hours a day
