Job Summary:MycoWorks is seeking a person to fill the role of Warehouse Lead. This person will ensure their team follows all safety protocols and has accountability for their shift in all Supply Chain support activities for the MycoWorks’ new Reishi™ production facility in Union, SC. This person will lead their shift through its startup to long-term stability. This will be accomplished by participating in establishing processes, training personnel, maintaining stock levels in all areas of the plant, and coordinating inbound and outbound shipments for both domestic and international origin. The successful candidate will have a continuous improvement mindset and be resolutions-oriented.

This role will work cross-functionally with multiple departments and will report to the Department Leader. This is an onsite role in Union, South Carolina.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive a “Zero Defect” culture, ensuring all Safety and Quality policies/procedures are adhered to
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless operation
  • Oversee daily functions of the department, provide guidance to team members to achieve all daily, weekly, and departmental goals:
  • Manage the shipping and receiving schedules
  • Maintain inventory accuracy with regular cycle counts and accurate, effective reporting
  • Ensure all areas of the plant in Supply Chain custody are properly stocked
  • Performs same duties as Shipping & Receiving Clerks
  • Pulling, packing, preparing documents and labels, and scheduling outbound shipments
  • Unloading deliveries, inventorying receipts, and following all quality standards for inbound deliveries
  • Completing inventory management actions with daily checks, cycle counts, quarantine actions and communication of damages shipments, ensuring that all records are accurate
  • Implement employee development strategies for their team members, effectively mentoring their team members by setting clear expectations and providing timely feedback
  • Operate a forklift to complete necessary functions
  • Drive company vision in work area

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, leadership capacity preferred
  • Understanding of OSHA standards and how to drive an “Injury Free” workplace
  • Experience with starting up a warehouse and inventory management system preferred
  • Forklift experience
  • Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook required, Google Sheets preferred
  • Experience with having 24/7 results accountability in a high-paced manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis tools
  • Ability to execute gap analyses and create focused action plans
  • Experience working in cross functional teams
  • Able to effectively give and receive feedback
  • Must be able to follow cleanroom and safety practices
