What We’re Looking For

We are looking for you as our Senior General Ledger Accountant. You will become a partner in our growing finance team, with colleagues in the SF Bay Area (CA), Monterrey (MEX), and future locations. In this role, you will help to build the Accounting function to listing readiness over the next few years.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Jointly with the Group Controller, you will lead and execute our monthly close process
• Analyze and prepare monthly journal entries for recurring expenses, accruals, and deferrals
• Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations
• Assemble and file local tax returns and maintain good standing with tax authorities
• Maintain and reconcile fixed assets schedules
• Prepare flux explanations and assist with the monthly reporting package
• Research treatment of complex accounting issues in accordance with US GAAP, document conclusions in audit-ready memos
• Collaborate with other departments to obtain transaction information, research reconciling items, and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain and provide annual audit support as requested by internal and external auditors
• Function as a versatile team player with the ability to pick up ad-hoc projects and management requests to accommodate our rapid growth
• Support overall Company and department goals and objectives

What’s Required

• Accounting or business degree and several years of on-the-job accounting training, CPA is a plus
• Minimum 5-6 years in financial accounting, including at least 3-4 years for US-companies in US-GAAP
• Strong accounting and financial analysis skills, ability to synthesize data from different sources
• Strong understanding of process workflow; why controls are needed and how to design controls
• Strong experience in manufacturing businesses and managing inventory to COGS
• Good communication skills (verbal and written) in English (Spanish is a plus)
• Team leadership experience in accounting is a plus
• Impeccable personal record and references. Personal records will have to be provided and will be researched.
• Proficiency with standard ERP Systems (NetSuite is a plus), Excel and/or Google Sheets
