Job Description
We are looking for a Finance Administrator to join our Finance Department as we scale up and drive digital and financial inclusion across our markets.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to play a pivotal role in optimizing our procurement function while contributing to accounting accuracy.
This position, with strong potential for growth into a lead role, will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies, managing key vendor relationships, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction, and driving continuous improvement in cost efficiency and processes.
Leading procurement operations you will work as the main contact person for all procurement requests while ensuring accuracy of procurement-related accounting entries and supporting the M-KOPA Group Non-Operating Entities.

In this role, you will be at the heart of our procurement and financial operations, managing the full procure-to-pay cycle while ensuring accounting accuracy and compliance. You will capture journals for debit and credit cards in MS Dynamics, support monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations, and capture Fixed Assets transactions.
Your procurement expertise will shine as you conduct comprehensive research and evaluation of potential suppliers, assist with Request for Quotations and tendering processes, and capture Purchase Orders for Non-Operating Entities' departments within stipulated SLAs. You will onboard new vendors, drive efficiency improvements to reduce lead times and administrative overhead, and lead monthly Open PO reconciliation processes. This is an on-site role, you would be working from our offices in Kenya, partnering with a diverse group of employees from our different markets and locations across the UK, Europe and Africa.
You will be reporting to the Finance Manager & Group Procurement Manager.
Expertise
Our expectations are that you would be comfortable working in a fast-paced finance and procurement environment where accuracy, efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction are paramount. You should have a keen focus on operational excellence and process improvements to achieve effectiveness in both financial data management and procurement operations.
We are looking for a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Finance or related field, with a minimum of three years' work experience in data capturing, finance or procurement environment. You should have strong aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers, experience in collecting and analyzing data, and proficiency in ERP Data Entry and Microsoft Office suite, along with Procure-to-Pay processes.
If you are highly effective and organized, possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, have attention to detail, and demonstrate excellent communication skills as a team player, you probably have what it takes to join our team and shape our future.
