The posted salary range reflects compensation for our Newark, CA office.
The Role and Responsibilities:
- Architect innovative solutions to position Lucid as a lead_er in _EV mobile application development, integrating emerging iOS and Android features.
- Design and develop high-quality, high-performance software in accordance with industry best practices, which include architecture and design documentation, unit testing, and UI snapshot creation.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the latest software development principles, including the capabilities and limitations of the iOS/Android platforms.
- Show proven experience in developing product_s from in_ception, with the ability to translate product requirements into detail_ed _engineering plans.
- Maintain a track record of coordinating the implementation of high-impact projects across various teams, delivering results on reliable deadlines and _mil_estones over multiple quarters.
- Have prior lead_ership experien_ce as a technical lead or architect.
- Collaborate with iOS/Android and backend engineers to develop a unified product.
- Facilitate effective collaboration, swift execution, and technical excellence within the team.
- Lead by example regarding best engineering practices, such as documenting engineering architecture and design, committing code, and rev_iewing _maintainable, extensible code alongside high-quality tests and documentation.
- Provide technical mentorship and coaching to our team members.
Qualifications:
- B.S. and/or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or any STEM major
- 15+ years of professional (full-time) software development experience [not including internships/co-ops/academic projects]
- Proficiency in major programming languages: Kotlin, Swift, Objective C, SwiftUI or Java
- Proficiency in Android or ios
- Skilled with integrations with various platforms and systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a cross-function_al team on _high profile, critical projects
- Excellence in communication (both written and spoken) with peers and non-technical people alike
Nice to Have:
- Experience in EV or Automotive Tech
- Experience with Cloud Microservices, API integrations OR Microservices based architecture
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
