We are seeking an Associate Manager for General Assembly for our 2nd shift, that will lead the day-to-day operations at our plant in Casa Grande, AZ. The role will lead our manufacturing team in achieving its Safety, People, Environment, Quality, Delivery, and Cost KPI’s. In this position you will lead the implementation of Lean Manufacturing on the plant floor. This is a unique opportunity to set up and run a world class plant, oversee supervisors and coordinate cross functional activities within Lucid.

You Will:

  • Develop and implement manpower strategies to meet operational demands.
  • Track workforce efficiency, absenteeism, and turnover to identify improvement areas.
  • Work closely with HR, production, and operations teams to align manpower with business needs.
  • Ensure production targets for quality, efficiency, and throughput are met.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to minimize downtime.
  • Coach production team members to ensure that all safety, quality, and productivity objectives are met.
  • Actively work to nurture and maintain a culture of collaboration and positivity on the shop floor.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing process to eliminate waste.
  • Create an environment where every employee is valued for their contributions, and they understand how they impact the success of the company.
  • Ensure all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines.
  • Drive world class quality for our luxury vehicle through in station process control and driving defect resolution to the point of fit.
  • Lead the team in putting a process in place to control expenses and increase productivity throughout the department.
  • Develop and implement training plans for team members.
  • Provide cadenced, meaningful feedback to team members on their performance, their goals, and their path to reach those goals.

You Bring:

  • High School Diploma or GED, and minimum 3 years of direct Manufacturing supervisory experience.
  • Must have strong computer skills with the ability to extract and analyze production data, generate performance reports, build detailed Excel spreadsheets to support general assembly planning and scheduling, and confidently present data insights to upper management during zone reviews.
  • Distinctive problem-solving skills and business judgment.
  • Ability to articulate business questions, pulling from large database and using statistics to arrive at answers.
  • Demonstrate communication skills (verbal and non-verbal) with all levels of management and the ability to present data in levels of detail appropriate for the audience.
  • Demonstrate interest and aptitude in data, metrics, analysis and trends and applied knowledge of measurement, statistics and program evaluation.
  • Has the capability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity and the ability to influence others.
  • Exhibit strong self-initiative, problem solving, decision making, and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment to continuously create efficiencies through creativity, experimentation, and ideation.
  • Drive to challenge decisions professionally and respectfully.
