Position Summary

As our Vice President of Engineering, you will lead the development and scaling of our laser furnace to a pilot ironmaking furnace and commercial demonstration plant.

Key Qualifications

• Leadership: Lead build of Limelight's pilot furnace through design, analysis, manufacture, and testing phases
• Project Management: Oversee engineering projects and timelines with contract manufacturers
• Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing engineering team
• Technology Development: Work with CEO and CTO to align research and engineering efforts, integrating results and processes from R&D team into scale up plans

Key Qualifications

• Engineering degree and 10+ years experience in industrial applications
• Experience with bringing hardware from prototype to product on the market, scaling production with manufacturers, and working with engineering, procurement, and construction firms
• Experience leading an engineering team, balancing in-house and engineering partners to manage engineering timelines
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills, ability to think about problems from a first-principles perspective
• Experience working in fast-paced startup-like environments
