Job Description

LFCA Academy Instructors facilitate online workshops on specific sustainability topics and skills. They are responsible for developing original content to be delivered in 2-hour workshops, standalone, or within a longer curriculum.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver content in live online workshops, according to predetermined topics as directed by LFCA.
  • Co-design and facilitation of interactive exercises to complement workshop content such as tasks, discussion groups, polls & activities.
  • Attend meetings to develop the design & delivery of workshops with the LFCA Academy team.
  • Communicate in a timely fashion with the LFCA Academy team via email, and be accessible to participants seeking individual support with course-related material, where necessary and within reason.

Essential qualities:

  • BA, MSc or advanced qualification in sustainability or environmental science, and/or at least 5 years of professional experience in a senior sustainability role
  • Experience in the practical application of sustainability concepts, frameworks & actions in a business context
  • Ability & experience in authentic, original live content creation (slides & speaker notes)
  • Articulate written and verbal communication skills
  • Sufficient comfort with online delivery and proficiency with (or ability to quickly learn) the relevant platforms required such as Zoom, online presentation software, digital whiteboards, etc.
  • A strong internet connection, quiet space and online availability within 3 hours of CET.

We’d particularly like to hear from people with:

  • A strong understanding of sustainability frameworks that leverage science-based principles such as Future Fit Business Benchmark, Science-Based Targets initiative (SBT), Doughnut Design for Business, Sustainable Development Performance Indicators (SDPI), and up-to-date knowledge of contemporary developments in the field
  • Direct experience delivering high-quality educational formats, either in an academic or professional context
  • A practical understanding of the needs & challenges of companies in applying sustainability to their organizations

Our approach:

At LFCA Academy, we encourage companies to embrace regenerative and distributive goals in their fundamental design and business models. Pay rate:

€80-100 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
