Job Description:
We are seeking an Intern Data Scientist (f/m/x) for a 6-month internship to join our cross-functional team focusing on developing predictive maintenance solutions for railway tracks and switches. You will work alongside a team of experts with different backgrounds who are committed to pushing the boundaries of what's possible and driving innovation forward.
As part of our cross-functional team, you will have the opportunity to learn from colleagues working across all areas of the development stack. This role will allow you to gain experience working with real-world data, and learning how to handle incoming datasets from a productive system. Your work will have a significant impact on clients around the world.
Your Impact:
- Join a world-class team in condition monitoring and predictive maintenance of railway track
- Annotate acceleration signals from IIOT devices out in the field
- Extend and improve tooling for interactive data annotation
- Drive innovation and contribute to intellectual property
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have/be:
- Studying for a degree in Statistics, Engineering, Physics or a related field and be located in the Munich area
- Proficiency in Python and some of its common packages, like numpy and pandas
- Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal, presentation and written)
- Eagerness to learn software engineering and data engineering skills, to enhance your core data science skills
- You're a team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- You're a problem-solver who enjoys tackling complex challenges.
Nice To Have:
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with streamlit or dash
- Experience with signal processing
