We are currently recruiting for our Paris office, a Junior Data Engineer M/F (6 months internship)

The Team

The data engineering team works hand-in-hand with product teams, leveraging proprietary technologies using computer vision on satellite imagery and AIS or geolocation data, to measure or predict energy and emissions market fundamentals.

What you will do

We are looking for an intern who will contribute standardizing and optimizing the pipeline's monitoring.

The intern will be asked to think up and design a user interface for the product technical leads, enabling them to ensure quality control on the generated results. As most of the pipelines are intended for satellite image processing, the interface will have to include data visualization tools to support georeferenced images.

This interface must be actionable and must implement methods enabling the product team to trigger operations if required. This interface will also need to fit in as many Kayrros use cases as possible.

The intern will be involved in the design of the alerting and monitoring systems, using existing technologies such as Datadog, Grafana and Prometheus. This work will be carried out dealing with the various metrics generated by our services, and without interfering with the product run.

The intern will interact with the product teams Technical Leads, as well as the Kayrros infrastructure and geospatial teams. He/she will be responsible of:

• deploying a quality control interface for all Kayrros products,
• integrating visualization tools for all image processing pipelines into the interface,
• implementing tools to aggregate all the metrics generated by the different data pipelines,
• creating, optimizing and migrating the monitoring dashboards,
• exploring and proposing alternative solutions to the technologies currently used within the company
