POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Logistics Specialist you will leverage best practices to ensure that our products flow seamlessly from our manufacturers to our warehouses, and from our warehouses to our customers. You will accomplish this by working with internal and external partners, and by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect distribution and inventory with the goal of maximizing customer satisfaction and minimizing cost.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Logistics –Support the day-to-day efforts related to movement of all finished products through the supply chain to customers. Ensure that all transportation details are captured and clearly communicated, both internally and externally. Track warehouse capacity to ensure that the needs of the company are met.

• Supplier Management – Work with internal clients, and warehouse and transportation suppliers to build strong relationships focused on continuous improvement.

• Customer Management – Work with internal stakeholders and customers to build strong relationships based on continuous improvement.

• Analysis and Reporting – Ensure all data related to warehousing and logistics is accurate and use that data to recommend improvement areas. Conduct analysis to update the transportation and warehouse strategies as the supply chain evolves. Develop and publish reports tracking performance of the logistics network including but not limited to on-time, fill rate, inventory accuracy, and cost.

• Reconciliation - Conduct investigations into discrepancies and non-compliance claims related to shipments to warehouses and customers and identify opportunities to reduce discrepancies and chargebacks.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience in supply chain is a plus, we value the following qualities and skills above all:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or equivalent with 1-3 years of Logistics / Supply Chain experience, or 3-5 years of relevant experience without a bachelor’s degree.

• Exceptional computer skills, including advanced capability in Microsoft Excel and other data manipulation tools.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of logistics and 3PL fundamentals.

• Able to work independently with high levels of accuracy and precision.

• Able to keep track of multiple tasks and responsibilities and prioritize effectively.

• Able to build and maintain good relationships with brokers, warehouses, contract manufacturers, and internal customers.

• Experience working in multi-site logistics network.

• Experience with multiple ERP systems.

• Detail-oriented and analytical.

• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

• This position will work in a home/office environment with regular trips to corporate office, manufacturing, and distribution centers.

If the position applied to is not located in Colorado, NYC, or California, the following information may not apply. Salary Minimum: $42,640 Salary Maximum $80,310. The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the Kate Farms salary range for this position. This range will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, internal pay alignment, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Kate Farms’ total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long- term incentives.
