Job Title: System Applications Engineer

Location: Centennial, CO (hybrid)

We are reinventing the way batteries are charged to unlock their untapped performance. To us, batteries are more than just power sources. They’re the enablers of innovation and key to accelerating electrification adoption, and we’re proud to be leading the charge. Our third-party validated charge-control solution improves battery performance metrics, such as charge speed and cycle life, by 2x to 4x, no matter the size or complexity of the product.

Role Summary:

We are searching for a Systems Applications Engineer (SAE) who has the passion and excitement to grow, innovate and take an active role in shaping the business strategy, defining differentiated products, and providing system-level support to customers. The SAE provides customers with complete charge control semiconductor solutions, often in the form of a reference design. The SAE works closely with sales and marketing to demonstrate to customers how Iontra’s products can be integrated efficiently within a system. You may provide technical expertise directly to large-volume customers and/or may develop solutions to be used by the general market. This is a full-time role, located in either our Centennial, CO, or Dallas, TX, office and you’ll be a key part of our fast-paced startup team!

Salary Range: $140k - $160k (salary is based on education, experience, skillset, and market value).

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Working closely with sales, marketing and application engineers to demonstrate to customers how existing products can be integrated efficiently within a system
  • Providing technical expertise directly to large-volume customers and/or developing solutions to be used by the general market
  • Writing and maintaining documentation with Atlassian-based tools and git version control systems

You’ll Need These Qualifications:

  • Minimum MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field
  • Minimum cumulative 3.5/4.0 GPA
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in relevant role
  • Understanding of, and experience, with system design, including defining system-level requirements and evaluating engineering trade-offs
  • Understanding of MCUs and how they integrate into various electronic devices and products such as smartphones, printers, eBikes, EVs, etc.
  • Knowledge in structured and/or object-oriented programming (C, C++)
  • Knowledge in fundamentals of engineering economics and business principles

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in consumer electronics and/or automotive domains on charge control applications
  • Knowledge and experience in system-level design
  • Knowledge and experience in Functional Safety
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
