Job Title: Manager of Hardware Development

Location: Centennial, CO (hybrid)

We are reinventing the way batteries are charged to unlock their untapped performance. To us, batteries are more than just power sources. They’re the enablers of innovation and key to accelerating electrification adoption, and we’re proud to be leading the charge. Our third-party validated charge-control solution improves battery performance metrics, such as charge speed and cycle life, by 2x to 4x, no matter the size or complexity of the product.

Role Summary:

In this role, you’ll be tasked with performing essential duties as a part of both the Iontra research team and the product development team. You’ll be responsible for implementing and consistently maintaining a disciplined and planned set of daily and ad-hoc processes and laboratory activities described below in order to advance our technologies and applications. This is a full-time role located in our Centennial, CO office in a fast-paced startup environment.

Salary Range: $160k - $180k (salary is based on education, experience, skillset, and market value).

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Architecting and leading electronics hardware for battery applications
  • Managing electrical design engineering team members
  • Collaborating on embedded system implementations
  • Outlining, overseeing execution and reviewing of engineering test plans
  • Writing and maintaining documentation with Atlassian based tools and git version control systems
  • Mentoring team members on their portions of the design and improving their skillsets

You’ll Need These Qualifications :

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or similar field
  • 7+ years of experience working in a relevant role designing electronics hardware
  • 2+ years of managing engineer staff
  • In lieu of degree, additional years of experience may suffice
  • Experience with ground up PCBA design, from specification to assembled product
  • Proficient in system architecture, circuit design and simulation
  • Power electronics or switch mode power supply design experience
  • Understanding of embedded systems design and related concepts
  • Strong problem solving and debugging skills
  • Familiarization with testing methodologies and best practices
  • Clear communicator and collaborator with team members
  • Experience with digital power control and implementing application specific microcontrollers (TI C2000, STM D-power or equivalent product lines)
  • Knowledge of battery systems
  • Developed embedded system firmware
  • Test fixture/jig design for production or test environments
