Job Title: Process Engineering Lead

Location: Centennial, CO (onsite)

Our third-party validated charge-control solution improves battery performance metrics, such as charge speed and cycle life, by 2x to 4x, no matter the size or complexity of the product.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Process Engineering Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing process engineering activities, ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our manufacturing processes. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimize existing processes, and develop new processes to support the scaling of our production. The Process Engineering Lead will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve manufacturing milestones and drive operational excellence. This is a full-time role located in our Centennial, CO office.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000 (salary is based on education, experience, skillset, and market value).

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead and manage the process engineering team, providing technical guidance and support
  • Optimize and improve processes to increase efficiency, yield, and capacity
  • Develop new processes to support technology scaling and product development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product transfer from development to manufacturing
  • Identify and implement process improvements to drive cost reduction and quality enhancement
  • Perform data analysis and process characterization to identify areas for improvement and optimization
  • Establish process controls and implement statistical process control (SPC) methods
  • Participate in process qualification and validation activities
  • Create and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality requirements

You'll Need These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of process development, optimization, and scale-up
  • Experience leading and managing a team of process engineers
  • Proficient in data analysis and statistical tools
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with battery manufacturing processes is a plus
  • Knowledge of safety, regulatory, and quality requirements
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with lithium-ion battery technology
  • Six Sigma certification or other process improvement methodologies
  • Experience with process automation and control systems
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience in a fast-paced startup environment
