Job Description

• Support the internal indirect tax team in the preparation of reports needed for the different local VAT returns (e.g. Intrastat, SAFT-Report, etc.)
• Support with the review of VAT and CIT returns prepared by our shared service center/local tax consultants for IONITY and its branches
• Be contact person for auditors, tax consultants and work closely with business partners and other departments
• Work together with our tax consultant / internal departments on other projects
• Provide accounting and tax related guidance to our shared service center and other internal departments
• Support the general coordination of the shared service center and the different local teams of our tax consultant and ensure a proper quality
• Support the monthly, quarterly and annual closings in accordance with HGB and IFRS
• Support the accounting team with daily accounting tasks e.g. payment proposal preparation and review
• Contribute to the optimization and automation of accounting and tax processes
• You have a degree in business administration with focus on accounting, taxes or auditing or comparable education e.g. certified accountant, tax specialist
• You have at least 3 years of experience in accounting & taxes, ideally in a corporate or shared service center environment, or in a tax/audit firm.
• You have tax knowledge of VAT and corporate income tax
• You have knowledge of HGB and ideally initial exposure to IFRS.
• You are confident working with MS Office, especially Excel; experience with SAP (ideally SAP S4hana public cloud) is a plus.
• You work accurately, reliably, and have a hands-on mentality.
• You are eager to learn, open to feedback, and motivated to grow in a dynamic and international finance environment.
• You communicate clearly and enjoy working in a team.
• You are comfortable using English and German in your day-to-day work
