Founded in 2016, the privately held clean energy company develops and owns some of the world’s largest clean energy resources serving customers in retail and wholesale energy markets across North America. The company is redefining the scope of the clean energy industry by enabling new pathways between clean electricity and the broader economy to enable the deep decarbonization of our economy. We are on an aggressive growth trajectory and are staffing key positions.
About This Position
The Manager of California State Government Affairs is the state policy expert inside the company’s Government Affairs team. This position is responsible for tracking all relevant California state legislative, and regulatory activity in support of the company’s development activities in the state. Relevant activity at the California Legislature, both energy agencies, the ISO and Air Resources Board are all in scope. Interface with key stakeholder groups including labor, eNGOs, and others is also in scope. The person in this position will support achievement of our legislative and regulatory goals and will ensure the company’s development priorities are aligned with political reality and market opportunity. The position reports to the Vice President of Government Affairs and will collaborate closely with the State Government Affairs Lead. This position will work closely with the company’s West Development team, Permitting team, and Community Engagement team. The position is remote, and will require in-person external engagement in the Sacramento, CA region.
