• Developing and implementing a purchasing strategy that supports the business objectives
• Identifying and qualifying suppliers and negotiating contracts and conditions
• Ensuring the availability of materials and components for production
• Budget responsibility and cost control in the purchasing area
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure product quality and delivery times
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with suppliers
• Claim management to secure claims and resolve conflicts in the event of breaches of contract
• Degree in industrial engineering, business administration or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in purchasing, ideally in plant engineering or a related industry
• Sound knowledge of contract negotiations and supplier management
• Experience in claim management
• Strong analytical and strategic skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Team leadership and development skills
• Good command of English, other languages an advantage
