Position Summary This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple Project Managers, Project Engineers, Procurement & Logistics Specialists, and energy storage projects. We are looking for an experienced Senior Director of Projects who will manage energy storage projects from pre-customer award to commissioning completion. Responsibilities include managing projects to deliver systems on time, within budget, and within scope. This position will involve managing several vendors/suppliers who will deliver large, complex subsystems (batteries, inverters, PPC, etc.) on behalf of IHI Terrasun’s customers. Projects will normally last 10 – 24 months. Primary Job Functions Personnel Management Manage a team of project managers (director level personnel and their direct reports) who manage the complete development and delivery of energy storage systems to IHI Terrasun’s customers. Manage a team of project engineers to are dotted line to a project manager. These individuals provide technical expertise for their assigned project and support the following deliverables: customer site drawing review; IHI Terrasun network drawing creation; supplier drawing/parameter reviews; and more. Manage a team of procurement and logistics specialists who are responsible for creating purchase orders (POs) for the project managers, securing warehouses when needed for specific customer equipment, coordinating vendor shipments to sites, and more. OTR Profit and Loss (P&L) Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget. Manage personnel in their teams to maximize productivity and profitability. Manage project budgets and ensure change orders (COs) are issued when required to ensure the projects remain profitable. Manage department non-project budget (conference attendance, team events, etc.). Oversee all projects o Coordinate internal resources (from OTR, Engineering, and Field Services teams) and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of energy storage projects. Ensure resource availability and allocation. Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress (schedule, costs, etc.). Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques. Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques. Report and escalate to management as needed. Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders. Perform risk management to minimize project risks. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Attend and/or witness commissioning and acceptance testing; report on results. Assist the Sales process in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors. Collaboratively work with multi-disciplinary engineering team to ensure reviews and recommendations are completed to professional standards. Act as a team-lead and mentor junior staff. Keep abreast of technology trends and changes in this rapidly evolving market. Interact with senior-level personnel as required. Reports all irregular issues and problems to supervisors for solution. Maintains good communication with other management, office staff members and outside contacts. Complies with all company policies and procedures. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area. Qualifications (Education & Work Experience) 10 or more years of energy related project experience that includes knowledge of Batteries, Inverters, HVAC, and control systems, energy efficiency and renewable energy or similar power related technologies. Experience in energy engineering and project management. Excellent communication, verbal and written skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project. Tools & Equipment General office equipment including phones, fax, personal computer. Certificates/Licenses PE License (preferred) Work Environment & Physical Demands This job has been classified as: Hybrid – Flexible: You can choose how often you come into the office or work remotely. You may, on occasion, be requested into the office for certain meetings or events.

The national pay range for this role is $175,000 - $228,000 / year with a 15% bonus target and is considered a Level E6 – Senior Director Level role. This pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, and location. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in an annual discretionary bonus.
