Job Description

Position Summary We are currently seeking a DevOps Engineer to support our growing needs of managing AWS Cloud, continuous integration, testing and deployment processes, system administration and on-premises software delivery. You will be expected to take ownership of important systems and independently take them from planning to completion.

Primary Job Functions

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, maintain, monitor, and support scalable Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Automate the provisioning of the Cloud environments through the concept of pipeline engineering using Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins and other tools.
  • Partner with developers to design and execute the plan for CICD operation.
  • Support and improve our “on-premises” deployment option.
  • Work with Security team to take initiatives on security update on-site or in AWS Cloud operation.
  • Implement monitoring system using Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Plan and design Group Policy Objects as requested to ensure compliance of company policies for servers and user end-point devices.
  • Remain up to date on emerging technologies and architecture and propose ways to use them in current and upcoming projects.
  • Collaborate with Architecture team(s) to advise on any needed enabling work and make decisions regarding sequencing to ensure optimal delivery of value for business.
  • Support Authentication using 0365, LDAP integration etc.
  • Ability to perform Risk assessments for Cloud infrastructure.
  • Support AWS IAM and Security Manager.

Core Competencies

  • The ability to apply a software engineering mindset to system administration topics.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as AWS DevOps Engineer.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in an Agile environment and have knowledge of both Scrum and Kanban.
  • Preferred 2-3 years working with CICD pipelines and experience with Ansible and terraform for software provisioning, configuration management and application deployment to enable IAC.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in one or more experience in Python, Bash, AWS CLI/SDK.
  • Positive Can-do Attitude and High Degree of Initiative.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant Engineering discipline from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understanding of NERC-CIP, ISO 27001, ISO 27019, and / or NIST SP 800-53 would be a plus
  • Certifications: AWS Certification
  • Knowledgeable of the capabilities and limitations of AWS
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills, and advanced problem-solving orientation and decision-making skills.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Work is performed in an office environment. The employee is required to frequently sit and occasionally must stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. Also, the employee must be able to read and analyze data in hard copy and on a computer screen.
  • Travel potentially less than 10%.

The national pay range for this role is $105,000 - $148,000 / year and is considered a Level P3 – Career Professional Individual Contributor role. This pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, and location. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in an annual discretionary bonus.
