Job Description
Hydrosat is a space and data analytics company building a new Earth Observation constellation and software to unlock the power of thermal infrared imagery. Our mission is to capture and deliver high spatio-temporal resolution thermal infrared data, currently not available from other sources, to provide insights that benefit the environment, enhance food and water security, and serve other critical applications.

What you’ll do
As a Recruiter, specializing in engineering roles, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and hiring exceptional new team members. You will partner with hiring managers to build strong pipelines, source candidates, and drive an efficient hiring process. Your expertise in technical recruiting and ability to evaluate engineering skills will be key to scaling our teams, though you will have the opportunity to work with other teams in the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing to interview coordination to offer and onboarding.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and develop tailored recruiting strategies.
- Source and attract top software engineering and data science talent through various channels, including LinkedIn, GitHub, job boards, networking, and referrals.
- Screen candidates for skills, cultural fit, and career goals.
- Manage and optimize the candidate experience, ensuring a seamless and engaging hiring process.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews, providing guidance on technical assessments and evaluations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, salary benchmarks, and emerging hiring best practices.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
- Collaborate with HR and hiring teams to improve recruitment processes and employer branding.
Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years in technical recruiting, preferably in software engineering or IT.
- Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of software engineering and data science roles, technologies, and hiring challenges.
- Sourcing Expertise: Proficiency with efficient sourcing (LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub sourcing, and other sourcing tools).
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication to engage and influence candidates and stakeholders.
- Data-Driven: Ability to track and analyze recruitment metrics to optimize hiring strategies.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- ATS Proficiency: Experience with applicant tracking systems (e.g., Workable).
- Global Recruiting: Ability and willingness to work across timezones in the U.S. and EU.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience hiring for startups, tech companies, or engineering teams.
- Experience hiring for electrical, mechanical, and hardware systems engineering roles.
- Understanding of software and data engineering, frameworks, and technical assessments.
