Job Description
Hydrosat is a space and data analytics company building a new Earth Observation constellation and software to unlock the power of thermal infrared imagery. Our mission is to capture and deliver high spatio-temporal resolution thermal infrared data, currently not available from other sources, to provide insights that benefit the environment, enhance food and water security, and serve other critical applications. Our downstream applications team in Luxembourg combines best-in-class remote sensing, machine learning, and cutting-edge fusion approaches to thermal imagery to deliver innovative and scalable solutions to the agri-food industry.

We are looking for a Head of Business Operations who will sit at the core of our operational engine and ensure that every part of the business scales smoothly, efficiently, and aligned with our strategic goals. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-growing, mission-driven environments and has seen the journey from Series A/B startup to scale-up.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional stakeholders (HR, Finance, IT Ops & Security, Sales, and Engineering) to identify gaps, define scalable processes, implement metrics (OKRs/KPIs), and drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and build operations functions and drive cross-functional operational strategy, ensuring seamless alignment across departments (HR, Finance, IT, Security, Sales).
- Diagnose inefficiencies in current workflows and systems, and implement scalable processes to address them.
- Define, roll out, and monitor company-wide OKRs and KPIs.
- Partner with functional leaders to set operational priorities and ensure accountability to execution.
- Identify hiring needs and support with building high-performing teams with the right skill sets for growth.
- Build operational playbooks, process documentation, and continuous improvement frameworks.
- Lead and/or support strategic projects, including systems upgrades, vendor management, compliance planning, and new market initiatives.
- Act as a thought partner to the CEO and leadership team, helping steer strategic decision-making with data-driven insights.
- Champion a culture of operational discipline, ownership, and agility.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in business operations, strategy, or program management.
- Proven track record in a venture-backed, high-growth company (ideally SaaS, Deep Tech, or ClimateTech).
- Experience guiding companies through growth from startup to 50+ employees (Series A/B stage to scale-up).
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking; ability to translate strategy into execution.
- Proficient in setting and implementing OKRs/KPIs and reporting frameworks.
- Experience working with or overseeing HR, Finance, or other functions (IT, Sales/CSM...)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset and ability to influence without authority.
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
- Data-oriented, process-driven, and passionate about operational excellence.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in geospatial, satellite, climate, or agricultural technology sectors.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks, security standards, or IT policies.
- Experience working in a remote-first or hybrid environment.
