We are in search of a proficient Research Analyst intern to enhance our data capabilities Gro. This role involves managing and analyzing extensive datasets critical to our operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in data analysis, ensuring the quality and integrity of our information. Join us in leveraging your analytical skills to provide valuable insights that drive informed decision-making for both our team and our clients.

What You'll Do:

  • Keep abreast of new sources and related news
  • Work on special projects and initiatives
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data about market fundamentals to forecast trends in agricultural commodities
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams in the design and implementation of new features as well as solving technical obstacles related to data sources
  • Collaborate with the business development team on client specific projects
  • Write analytical insights on agriculture/sustainability/climate change - related topics
  • Respond to user questions and requests

What We're Looking For:

  • 1+ years of relevant data science / data analysis/research experience
  • Familiarity with Python programming language and web application development
  • Exceptional written, oral, and presentation abilities
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to perform and synthesize quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Comfort with working with large volumes of data
  • Ability to work independently against tight deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members across functional roles and strong communication skills

Nice to Have but Not Required:

  • Degree in a technical field including but not limited to Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science
  • Experience / Interest in agriculture data or agriculture science

  • Gro is hybrid: employees work three days in-office and choose the days which work best for them
