Job Description
- Lead contract negotiations with EPC subcontractors and suppliers.
- Manage and administer subcontractor agreements, ensuring compliance with obligations, working closely with Project Management on contractual terms, deadlines, and budgets.
- Support senior lawyers in claims management, dispute resolution, and other legal matters.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and report on contract metrics to management.
- Ensure all contracts meet applicable laws, industry standards, and company policies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, EPC partners, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (preferably German or Common Law).
- Fluency in English and German strongly preferred; additional European languages are a plus.
- At least five years’ experience in contract management, ideally in one or more of our core markets (the UK, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Italy, Romania and Hungary).
- Solid knowledge of standard construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC), subcontracts, purchase orders and supply contracts, ideally in the solar energy sector.
- Proven ability to manage multiple contracts and projects simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive, independent, and comfortable working in cross-functional, international teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Teams, Sharepoint, and electronic signing platforms (DocuSign, Adobe Sign).
- Familiarity with project management tools and contract management software is a distinct advantage.
