Grassroots Carbon offers ranchers additional revenue opportunities via our carbon credit program. We support farmers and ranchers to manage their land for healthy soils, which store more carbon and improve water quality and biodiversity. Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Lead to liaise between GRC and verifiers before and during verification
  • Help execute QA/QC for data inputs and document prep for monitoring and verification
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues around data collection and management, rancher account management, and reporting to buyers
  • Develop creative solutions that help landowners and field managers gain access to carbon markets – data collection, monitoring practices, storytelling, etc. are all relevant to the carbon credit journey

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of voluntary carbon standards and methodologies, including Verra and CAR
  • Understanding of nature-based methodologies under Verra and/or CAR
  • Experience with technical aspects of carbon projects, including project design, monitoring, and verification
  • Knowledge of soil carbon dynamics and associated carbon methodologies a bonus
  • Knowledge of regenerative ranching or agriculture a bonus
  • A deep passion for using creativity and ingenuity to address climate change and support land managers is a major bonus!

Benefits

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance plans, including a flexible spending account option.
  • Open Paid Time Off Policy
  • 9 paid holidays per year as listed in our Company Handbook.
  • Participation in our 401(k) savings plan
  • Company-paid Life and AD&D coverage
  • Educational materials and expenses
