Role

The Gencores team seeks a Material and Process Engineer capable of working safely in a fast-paced start-up environment to join our growing team. You will be part of a fast-growing, interdisciplinary team of outstanding scientists and engineers working closely together to unlock the production of novel, outperforming composite metamaterials and reinvent our industries.

Your essential job responsibilities:

  • Conduct research, design, develop, and optimize production and post-production processes for Gencores' novel highly architected composite materials.
  • Perform detailed equipment design calculations and specifications
  • Interface with third-party equipment suppliers

Your experience or skills:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Can design and conduct rigorous experiments to optimize Gencores' novel materials' properties
  • Proficient with digital tools, analytical tools, and technology
  • Team player with a can-do attitude

Our preferred qualifications:

  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (preferred), polymer engineering, or science.
  • 2 to 5 years prior experience in Process, Operations, Process Systems, or Controls
  • Composite materials shopfloor expertise (Bonus)
