POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Capital Project Execution, the Project Coordinator role is critical to the successful execution of all our projects, from the project and site development phase through design and construction of Fortera’s ReCarb Plants. The ideal candidate has participated in projects of 25M or more in the construction of mineral processing, refining, or other heavy industrial areas.

In this role, the PC will maintain budget reports, update project schedules, organize and participate in project meetings as well as keep active project documents up to date. They organize and communicate all the details of projects and specific assignments to team members and serve as a liaison between team members and the project manager.

The ideal candidate will be excited and motivated to deal with the unknown challenges brought on by implementing new technologies in a start-up or pre-IPO environment, and comfortable with ambiguity as we grow and deploy our plants worldwide. Experience on construction projects in the mineral processing space will be strongly considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Monitor the daily progress of projects and provide detailed updates to project managers or other stakeholders.
  • Plan, schedule and organize meetings and distribute minutes to all project team members.
  • Organize and maintain project documents and folders.
  • Manage project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly updated and filed correctly.
  • Direct and manage project correspondence by preparing and reviewing memos, meeting minutes and emails.
  • Ensure that all aspects of a project are organized and in conformance with timeline and deliverables requirement.
  • Develop and maintain project performance database that tracks overall progress and achievement of milestones.
  • Serve as the point of communication between company teams and external resources.
  • Assist the project manager in the development of project management documents such as project budgets, project schedules, scope statements and project plans.
  • Execute project management administrative and bookkeeping tasks such as managing invoices, purchase orders and other financial documents.
  • Help project managers monitor project progress and team members’ performance and provide updates to project stakeholders.
  • Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings.
  • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Organize and maintain the project schedule and budget.
  • Keep detailed records of the project at every stage.
  • Work with project teams to assess any issues or risks that may arise and report them to the project manager. Escalate issues as necessary according to the project work plan
  • Effectively communicate with team members across the organization on project updates, needs and risks

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years extensive professional experience working as a project coordinator or project assistant.
  • Preferably, you have a bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar field.
  • Professional experience with construction projects in mineral processing, refining, or other heavy industrial areas.
  • Strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills. A track record of successfully meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with project management and coordination strategies.
  • Knowledge of file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
  • You possess the ability to work and make decisions without excessive managerial input.
  • You have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Although project managers may step in to handle significant problems, you should be prepared to work through and resolve minor issues without assistance.
  • Able to expertly support the daily activities and needs of an entire team requires an excellent ability to multitask and effectively manage your time.
  • Experience in coordinating teams, clients, and stakeholders, including interacting with external engineering firms, contractors, and equipment suppliers.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationships. Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Project. A solid understanding and ability to use project management tools and software.
  • Attention to details even under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to work closely with team members and managers, and effectively manage problems as they occur.
  • Proven success in a corporate setting, working with all levels of management.

COMPENSATION:

The compensation package for this role includes a compensation commensurate with experience of $95,000 - $130,000 and pre-IPO incentive stock options.
