RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain an efficient and safe working environment for all employees.
  • Train team members to operate and maintain equipment, and to abide by all Health, Safety and Environment programs.
  • Provide training to new engineers and operators.
  • Perform plant commissioning activities:
  • Testing newly installed equipment to ensure fulfillment of contract specifications.
  • Instrument checks and calibrations
  • Cold flow tests
  • Create and trial run draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • System troubleshooting
  • Validate all systems and prepare required documents.
  • Execute plant run plans as developed by the process and engineering team:
  • Operate the plant using a PLC system.
  • Monitor plant performance through data collection software.
  • Maintain and review everyday logs to assist in resolving all issues.
  • Document, analyze and troubleshoot process deviations.
  • Write status reports for engineering department to evaluate capital projects and obtain and analyze feedback for equipment.
  • Manage and execute preventive maintenance and plant improvement projects:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical maintenance issues.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities concerned with design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment and machinery in plant.
  • Recommend improvements and upgrades to resolve maintenance and production issues.
  • Perform regular audits on safety control programs.
  • Track equipment failures and facilitate RCFA analyses for continuous improvement.
  • Develop, review, and recommend improvements to SOPs and Preventive Maintenance Plans.
  • Update spare parts list and inventory based on needs and RCFA.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Minimum B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years combination of engineering experience (Manufacturing and/or Materials industry preferred) with chemical plant, cement plant, or lime plant operations preferred
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly collaborative spirit with strong team and interpersonal skills
  • Capable of climbing stairs and ladders, standing 70% of the time, lifting 50 lbs. and wearing all required PPE including full face respirator, self-contained breathing apparatus and fall protection.

COMPENSATION:

The compensation package for this role includes a competitive base salary commensurate with experience with a range of $120,000 - $130,000 as well as an annual bonus and pre-IPO incentive stock options.
