Role Description:

Form Energy is hiring a senior facilities engineer to join our manufacturing operations team in our high-volume manufacturing facility in Weirton, WV. This role will contribute to developing our Form Factory 1 (FF1) facilities and building infrastructure for our first-its-kind, advanced battery manufacturing.

This new position is part of a fast-growing team. It will ideally suit someone with facilities building infrastructure, coordination of systems implementation (controls), CAD design experience, and knowledge of reliability programs. It will support facilities-related engineering projects, upgrades, and improvements across our factory. Collaborating and working closely with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams, you will support the design, planning, and delivery of projects to meet costs, timelines, environment, and sustainability needs for facilities, equipment, and high-volume manufacturing. We will employ over 750 people at FF1 and have an annual production capacity of 500 megawatts of our novel iron-iron battery energy storage system.

What you'll do:

  • Provide technical expertise and support to resolve facility-related issues and challenges
  • Help develop maintenance strategies for facilities' equipment
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations and analyses to ensure projects meet operational, budgetary, and environmental objectives
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across Form Energy to develop project specifications, timelines, and budgets
  • Ensure all projects comply with applicable codes, standards, and environmental regulations, promoting safety and sustainability
  • Champion continuous improvement by leveraging insights from project outcomes to enhance future initiatives

What you'll bring:

  • Degree in mechanical, electrical, civil engineering, or related field with 3-7 plus years of proven facilities engineering, management, or related project experience
  • Experience with CAD software
  • Technical experience in building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other facility-related infrastructure
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and provide practical solutions
  • Adaptable and detail-oriented, able to quickly assess and prioritize competing priorities
  • Well-developed collaboration, communication, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Highly regarded Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or the pursuit thereof
