Role Description

Join us at Form Energy, where we're pioneering energy storage solutions for a sustainable future. We're seeking a skilled Equipment Engineer to be a key player in our New Product Introduction team. This team is dedicated to developing cutting-edge equipment for the production of electrodes, a critical component of Form Energy's revolutionary energy storage solutions.

As an Equipment Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, developing sustaining strategies for first of its kind equipment. Your role extends to working on manual and automated equipment substation prototypes to define architecture and processes. If you're interested in sustaining equipment for our first factory, this is the role for you!

This opportunity is based out of Form Energy's Eighty Four, PA facility and will relocate to work out of Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV. Relocation assistance is available.

What you'll do:

  • Define preventive maintenance activities on automated equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide hands-on support for high-volume manufacturing operations including pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
  • Optimize equipment settings for quality and throughput in collaboration with production teams
  • Implement upgrades and modifications to enhance station performance

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years experience in equipment engineering within a manufacturing environment
  • In-depth knowledge of automated equipment, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and high-volume manufacturing processes
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
