About the Venture
70% of LGBTQ+ individuals report dissatisfaction with their access to adequate healthcare. Across Europe, 75 million LGBTQ+ people face significantly higher health risks yet often struggle to find supportive care.
We are a Berlin-based, seed-stage consumer healthcare venture on a mission to change that. Our team, composed of entrepreneurs and healthcare professionals, is building the first digital healthcare provider tailored to the LGBTQ+ community. Backed by renowned VCs, we are driven by a vision of equitable, accessible, and high-quality healthcare.
About the Role
As our Founding Engineer, you will be the first in-house technical leader, responsible for defining and executing our tech strategy as we scale. This is a hands-on role where you will write production-ready code while overtime, also building and leading a high-performing engineering team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning our technical strategy – Defining architecture to ensure our platform is scalable, secure, and efficient.
- Hands-on development – Writing high-quality, maintainable code in TypeScript (React, Node.js, PostgreSQL) and leading critical system improvements.
- Implementing best practices – Driving CI/CD, logging, monitoring, security, and testing.
- Recruiting and leading a team – Hiring and mentoring engineers as we grow.
- Cross-functional collaboration – Working closely with leadership, healthcare professionals, and operations to build an outstanding digital patient experience.
Your work will directly influence the growth of our venture and help us provide essential healthcare access to more people.
