Services Senior Product Manager


Energy storage is the key to unlocking the limitless potential of renewable energy and optimizing the efficiency of traditional energy sources. This exciting and new sector requires innovative products, valuable professional services, and intelligent software to maximize the return on investment on this technology.


Fluence Services is looking for driven and passionate product managers to own and solve the critical service challenges of the clean energy revolution.

Responsibilities

•Leads and supports service product development, including commercial and technical analysis and executive approval.

•Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services.

•Address customer needs by assisting in the development of innovative, scalable, valuable, and profitable services and products.

•Ensure professional services increase in volume, profitability, and customer share-of-wallet over time, and develop effective tracking tools and metrics.

•Contribute directly to the product strategy and roadmap, along with lessons learned for continuous improvement.

•Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. Adapts style and uses persuasion in delivering messages that relate to the wider firm business. Frequently advises others on complex matters.

•Continuously collaborate with internal Sales, Services and Product teams to ensure that products offered are viable and executable.

•Work alongside product managers and specialists to collaborate holistically.

•Communicate acceptance criteria and expected behaviors

•Keep internal and external stakeholders up to date on progress and key milestones through extreme overcommunication.


Qualifications

•8-10 years’ experience with service product management, with strong preference for energy industry experience.

•Ability to solve complex problems and takes broad holistic perspectives using existing solutions.

•Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams

•Experienced in product development processes, milestones, and metrics

•Basic Microsoft Office skills in Word, Excel, Powerpoint.

•Passion for and knowledge of renewable energy systems and energy markets

•Strong conceptual understanding of subscription-based services and software, high-level understanding of machine learning and AI systems a bonus.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on relationship building.

•Coachable (desires continuous improvement), Credible (excels in a high-trust environment), Confident (takes ownership and initiative)
