Your Role:

As the Parts & Logistics Analyst, you’ll be working with some of the industry’s brightest minds to support Material Flow and Inventory Control. Supports Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Material Flow and Inventory Control. The analyst is responsible for ERP data accuracy. Collaborating with Purchasing, engineering, production scheduling/planning, Inventory control and logistics, the analyst must deploy inventory strategies to support production including, but not limited to, placing orders, product change, manage supply risk & constraints, and solving exceptions, with a sense of urgency, attention to detail and an analytical mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily Material Requirements Planning (MRP) review and release of purchase orders to suppliers
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply chain issue that arise.
  • Interfaces with Supply base on continuous improvement and developmental issues. Proactively communicate any identified supplier production & capacity issue, Part shortages to necessary FF departments.
  • Maintain material master data in SAP to optimize inventory levels while maintaining target level operational efficiency.
  • Authorizes premium transportation and track’s part classification metrics for premium usage
  • Performs 5 Alarm Process delinquent suppliers (includes issue of PRR (Problem Resolution Reports)) and follows up through resolution.
  • Interfaces with Suppliers, Logistics/Transportation/Carrier and Assembly Plant on transportation, shipping and receiving issues.
  • Supports PC & L and in resolving (Min/Max conditions, Standard pack discrepancies, Packaging compliance coordination with the supplier, Labeling, Misuse, other discrepancies)
  • Resolves other supplier non-conformance issues.
  • Participates and supports on the Plan for Every Part.
  • Manages parts database including engineering changes. Manages BOM changes by following up on disposition of end-of-life materials, timing of replacement parts, and ensuring proper setup in ERP system.
  • Performs Material Requirements analysis, investigates losses or record errors, investigates part histories to identify misuse, specification problems, unaccounted scrap, or possible theft.
  • Writes Purchase Requests for Production and Production Trial Material
  • Coordinates material flow on source changes
  • Analyzes production receiving records. Investigates duplicate records.
  • Ensures end of model obsolescence (supplier over-shipments, authorization for material return, interplant and Service Parts sales, disposal of physical inventory)
  • Interfaces with suppliers on material issues, investigates supplier claims of unpaid bills.
  • May be involved in Transportation route optimization and Load Plans working closely with inbound logistics team.
  • Creating and maintaining transportation carrier performance metrics including On-time Delivery, Carrier Claims, Shipment Discrepancies
  • Participate in NPI change control meetings, Trial production and New product introduction activities.
  • Working along with Material Planning Manager, take overall responsibility for obsolete parts process and ensure business is left with minimum liability and minimal waste.
  • Ensure Strategic and operational information, reports and metrics are available to share with others in business, as & when required.
  • Develops standardized work, reports on KPIs and identifies any corrective action for improvement.
  • May have some team member direct or indirect supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Materials Requirement Planning “MRP” Software such as SAP, demand, production and capacity management
  • College degree or “3” years equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, Power point, and Outlook programs.
  • Experience working with PLM systems and their interface with MRP preferred.
  • Experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems “MES” preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, written, presentation and via phone
  • Strong team orientation and cross functional attitude.
  • Ability to create and present detailed and summary reports.
  • College degree or “3” years equivalent experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as governmental regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to communicate in a high-pressure environment.

Annual Salary Range:

($69K - $83K DOE), plus benefits and incentive plans
