Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated reliability engineer to join our build our reliability engineering team. You’ll be working with the product quality team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in and a passion for improving the performance and reliability of our products, with the know how to use the requisite tools for the job.

Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to, taking the lead in reliability analysis for lithium batteries and high-power electrical charging systems, establishing Reliability Prediction, Modeling using international standards along with supporting the Design team in component failure analysis, and reliability analysis. This would include, but is not limited to:

  1. Create Reliability plans in line with the Design for the Reliability process.
  2. Participate, lead & review DFMEA, FTA, WCA, Derating analysis
  3. Accelerated Life Testing and Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS) test specification determination, calculation of sample size, and test duration.
  4. Carry out Reliability Prediction, Modeling using an international standard.
  5. Failure rate determination of each component as per Mil-HDBK-217F, NF2, and computing overall MTBF of system
  6. Draw reliable test plans and execute them, if needed by liaising with external test laboratories for executing reliability tests
  7. Work with cross-functional teams and other business units to propose new Reliability tests suited for a harsh environment and support in component failure analysis and realiability analysis
  8. Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for reliability engineering and technical work
  9. Work with suppliers and manufacturing plants to solve product reliability issues

The ideal candidate requires:

  1. Understanding of Power Electronics Circuit
  2. Hands-on knowledge of Relex 2009, Reliasoft (ALTA, Weibull, Blocksim), Fault Tree+, Reliability Workbench, Spice (LTSpice), and Minitab.
  3. Knowledge of Reliability Prediction standards
  4. Knowledge of FMEA
  5. Knowledge of Reliability test methodologies
  6. Exposure to FTA fundamentals
  7. Exposure to Safety
  8. Ability to analyse failure data to predict life of product and establish service intervention frequencies.
