About the Team:

The Senior Product Manager will be based in the US, reporting to the Director of Product, North America. You will work in close collaboration with:

  • The product management and strategic marketing teams based in Amsterdam
  • The global engineering teams based in Amsterdam and Bordeaux
  • North American sales and marketing teams, also with direct interaction with local key accounts
  • The North American Director of Public Policy to identify and anticipate all regulation evolution
  • The local North American service and support team, especially at the L2+ level

About the role:

Product Strategy & Launch:

  • Manage North American DC product portfolio & develop product line strategy across hardware, firmware, and software integrations.
  • Define added value and business cases of new product features and functionality.
  • Translate market requirements on features and functionality to product requirements.
  • Be an active member of the product development team as the voice of the customer and the market needs.
  • Work with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Support team(s) on timely and successful new product introductions.
  • Define product pricing strategy and implement with Finance and Operations.
  • Communicate project expectations to executive level on goals, scope, budget, resources, risks, and timeline, as well as project updates with internal and external stakeholders.

Customers & Market Insights:

  • Work closely with sales, customer experience, service, and business development departments to understand and address evolving market needs and competitive landscape.
  • Perform benchmark and competitive analysis for the North American EV charging market.
  • Gather, analyze, and report on product related data to improve relevance and sales of current products and future product development.
  • Work with sales, support, and customers directly to channel product feedback into development decisions.
  • Work with policy and compliance teams to understand what requirements are needed in products to properly receive local, state, federal funding and meet regulatory requirements. (ie, NEVI, BABA, CARB,)

About you

Education requirements

  • Completed degree in Technology (Hardware / Software), Mechanical / Electrical / Engineering or business-related experience preferred.

Experience requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant working experience.
  • Proven track record successfully bringing complex technical products to market & product portfolio lifecycle management.
  • Experience with hardware and software products.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, internal and external; experienced in interfacing with executives.
  • Experience in EV charging, Energy, and/or Automotive industries.

Skills required

  • Experience with product and portfolio management for highly complex products across hardware and software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, adapting communication style to suit specific audience. Ability to present to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and data driven decision making.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset to innovate and take calculated risks.
  • Excellent collaboration skills that foster a positive work environment.
  • Able to mentor others and give constructive feedback for the better of the team.
  • Excellent customer orientation and business acumen.
  • Able to navigate and drive large programs within a complex, sometimes ambiguous stakeholder environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills, able to influence across internal organization and with customers, providing thought leadership and understanding of the wider business.
  • Self-starter, you can anticipate and mitigate program risks and proactively solve problems, which may require conceptual thinking and independent judgment in methods and techniques for obtaining results.
