Context on ESG Flo ESG Flo was born out of frustration with the time-consuming process of collecting and reporting on ESG data. ESG Flo uses AI/ML to automate the data collection and extraction process for regulatory reporting and decision making. After winning Bain & Company's global Hackathon, ESG Flo received funding and support from Bain's Founder's Studio. Now it’s also backed by Tola Capital and Rho Ventures.

Job Description We are seeking a dynamic and eager Product Manager to join our team and take charge of managing our existing platform while contributing to the development of new product lines. You will be reporting to our Head of Product and will be the company’s first Product Manager hire. The role allows for ample opportunity to shape the product direction and company culture. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our products meet the evolving needs of our customers and drive the company's growth in the marketplace.

Responsibilities:

  1. Existing Solution (Scopes 1&2) Improvements:
    • Understand the current functionality, architecture, and limitations of the existing platform.
    • Work with Customers to define and prioritize enhancements, bug fixes, and performance optimizations for the legacy platform.
    • Coordinate with UIUX and development teams to ensure timely delivery of updates and maintenance tasks.
    • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for new features and bug fixes to ensure they meet quality standards.  
  2. New Platform (Scopes 3 and all other Environmental Metrics) Development:
    • Contribute to the planning and requirements development for the new platform.
    • Gather requirements from stakeholders and convert them into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and QA, to deliver a feature-rich platform with feature parity to the legacy system.  
  3. Agile Project Management:
    • Utilize Agile methodologies to manage and optimize the development process.
    • Contribute to sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
    • Ensure clear communication and alignment among team members and stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.  
  4. User Experience and Quality Assurance:
    • Champion the user experience to ensure products are intuitive, user-friendly, and accessible.
    • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create visually appealing and user-centric interfaces.
    • Oversee the quality assurance process to ensure high-quality and bug-free releases.   Requirements:
      • Experience as a Product Manager or similar role in software product development for 1 year - including internships.
      • Understanding of software development methodologies, particularly Agile/Scrum.
      •  (Optional) Experience working in an early-stage startup environment.
      • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
      • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.   The ideal candidate will be based in New York and be open to working in the office 3 days a week.
