Job Description

EnergyHub empowers utilities and their customers to create a clean, distributed energy future. We help consumers turn their smart thermostats, EVs, batteries, and other products into virtual power plants that keep the grid stable and enable higher penetration of solar and wind power.

We’re at an important moment in our company’s growth trajectory and looking for a Field Marketing Manager to join our team and deepen EnergyHub’s impact with their extensive campaign management experience, talent for using data to inform strategy, and desire to use their marketing stills to accelerate the decarbonization of our electricity system.

The role:

The Field Marketing Manager will be a key member of the Marketing team focused on leading campaigns from strategy through implementation and evaluation. You’ll bring your deep account-based marketing (ABM) experience to the organization, working with the Sales, Client Success, and Business Development teams to design campaigns that grow the size, quality, and velocity of EnergyHub’s sales pipeline.

You’ll work cross-functionally to identify target audiences and buying roles at key accounts, as well as to find and address revenue gaps and growth blockers within the customer journey. You’ll use those insights to lead ABM campaigns in paid and owned channels, including targeted field events, delivering revenue growth through new business, cross selling, and upselling.

The Field Marketing Manager will play an essential role in maximizing the impact of EnergyHub’s marketing activities, positioning EnergyHub as the leader in delivering demand flexibility programs. Responsibilities:

Campaign management and ABM

  • Lead development of ABM program at EnergyHub, acting as point person for collaboration with Sales, Client Success, and Business Development teams
  • Work in close consultation with Brand Marketing Coordinator to plan, implement, and evaluate targeted in-person event strategy with focus on key accounts
  • Refine and implement metrics and KPIs to gauge campaign effectiveness across the customer lifecycle
  • Report on full customer lifecycle, highlighting marketing’s impact on pipeline acceleration, renewal rates, and revenue generation

Customer Marketing

  • Manage campaigns throughout customer lifecycle, from lead, to customer, to upsell/cross-sell, to renewal
  • Work in collaboration with Client Success to deliver customer events (webinars, round tables, in person, etc.) that improve customer’s product knowledge and promote knowledge sharing across our customer base
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to identify key and areas of opportunity within the customer journey and craft campaigns to address them

Demand Generation

  • Create comprehensive strategies to raise awareness and generate demand within our target audience across multiple channels including but not limited to newsletters, nurture programs, and paid media
  • Bring deep understanding of target audiences, channel strategy, and data-driven insights to content development processes to ensure content is tailored to our target accounts
  • Provide data-driven channel, format, and asset type recommendations to continually improve content performance
  • Collaborate with Salesforce working group, Alarm.com Salesforce admins, and internal stakeholders to implement CRM improvements as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred skills and experience:

  • 4-6 years marketing experience, ideally in technology or clean energy, with at least 3 years B2B field marketing, campaign management, ABM, growth marketing or similar experience
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into insights that improve our marketing programs
  • Collaborative, cross-functional team player who keeps it fun while working under time pressure and who can be both hands on and strategic
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical topics in an engaging way for a variety of audiences
  • Project management experience and the ability to work independently on multiple initiatives while staying highly organized
  • Hands-on experience with a wide range of marketing strategies across paid, earned, and owned channels
  • Experience measuring and reporting on ROI of paid, owned, and earned media and using insights to continually optimize marketing activities
  • Expertise in Marketing Automation (Hubspot) Salesforce, GA4, and Wordpress or comparable platforms

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
