Job Description

Electriphi was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in Palo Alto California. The company provides software solutions with the singular focus of enabling the transition to zero-emission vehicles across heavy, medium, and light-duty fleets in public as well as private segments.

Electriphi was acquired in June of 2021 by Ford Motor Company and now operates as a wholly owned subsidiary responsible for defining the Go to Market for Ford Pro as it relates to charging. The newly formed Ford Pro Charging is a business unit within Ford Pro that delivers End-to-End solutions for our commercial customers. This includes software, hardware, and the necessary services to design, build and operate commercial charging for Ford and Non-Ford customers alike (along with the things that make Ford great like vehicles, telematics, and financing!).

Job Description & Qualifications

The Quality Assurance (QA) Lead will oversee the activity of the quality assurance department and staff, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization’s products and/or development processes.

What you will be able to do

  • Defines testing strategies
  • Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery
  • Defines quality metrics, Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products
  • Communicates quality standards and parameters to QA team, product development team, and other appropriate staff
  • Coordinates product testing processes and improves them as needed
  • Participates in product testing
  • Identifies and analyses issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues
  • Reviews client, customer, and user feedback
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, local, and organisational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies
  • Performs other duties as assigned

The minimum requirement we seek

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or field related to the products being developed required
  • 8+ years of experience in QA, Test automation with supervisory experience
  • Extensive knowledge in Selenium web driver
  • Familiar with Cucumber and JEST framework
  • Experienced in writing test cases in Python, Java and other relevant languages
  • Hiring and training Quality Assurance Staff
  • Overseeing the Daily Workflow and Schedules of the department
  • Conducting Performance Evaluations that are timely and constructive

Compensation

All things are a conversation and salary will be discussed in the 1st call, not the last one. Most roles have a 10% bonus on top of the base salary.

Unlimited PTO-Time Off

All employees enjoy unlimited PTO. We want team members to grow with us and a big part of that is making sure our team can rest and recharge. Ideally, we would like people to take off a minimum of 15 days per year and encourage days for volunteering, mental health, wellness, etc.... not just vacations or sick days. We observe 8 holidays every year and close the last week of the year so that everyone has a chance to start the New Year off fresh.

Flex Time (We manage by objectives)

You are encouraged to adjust your work schedule as needed—either permanently to reflect on the hours that your core team/customers work, the time you are most productive, or occasionally to get to that ball game, massage, or appointment.

Training and Development

Being a subsidiary of Ford, we have access to multiple platforms of self-guided and instructor-led training and development sources. We want all staff to grow and learn.

Remote-first

Operating as a remote-first company means we get to work with talented folks, no matter where they live. We prioritize a balance of deep focus time with Webex meetings and strive to have in-person events at a regular cadence. We have implemented meeting-free Thursdays to ensure that people have at least one day for innovation, learning, and heads-down projects.
