Job Description

Electric Hydrogen’s mission is to make molecules to decarbonize our world! Our outstanding people are our most important asset and will allow us to deliver hydrogen from renewable electrolysis for heavy industry, at prices below fossil fuels.

We are looking for Electrical Engineers to join our New Product Integration team. You will be focused on delivering first of a kind, large-scale, modular, and mass manufactured electrolysis Plants. You will be involved in the full lifecycle of the development of Electric Hydrogen's electrolysis plant, including: DFM support and feedback across teams, supporting supplier development, traditional New Product Introduction tasks, and first of a kind plant deployment.

You will report to the manager of New Product Integrations working on a variety of projects focused on building and integrating first of a kind chemical process facilities. You will work onsite at our office located in San Carlos, CA.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with plant engineering team, component vendors, and system integrators
  • Create simple, clear, concise work instructions to help inform the build process
  • Proactively identify schedule, cost, and technical risk items, then help identify solutions
  • Provide detailed design-for-manufacturing feedback to the plant engineering team
  • Understand manufacturing constraints and work closely with vendors to improve their processes
  • Coordinate and oversee the factory acceptance testing of equipment
  • Ensure that the system is built to our quality standards
  • Work closely with the sustaining deployment team to hand off commissioning, installation, and deployment processed after first builds
  • Create the plant installation plan, work instructions and manage/document the first plant installation
  • Work with relevant teams to develop Plant Commissioning Procedure, Plan, and Implement it for the first product plant
  • This role has about 25% travel associated with it on average. The amount of travel will be based on the current stage of the product development cycle.

Qualifications

  • B.S. Electrical Engineering
  • 6+ years industry experience
  • Experience taking one technical project from design phase into production
  • 6+ years Experience working with medium voltage power systems
  • Experience commissioning transformers, rectifiers, VFD's, MCC's, or other electrical equipment
  • Has developed installation, commissioning, or deployment procedures/processes
  • Has experience turning learnings into product improvements
  • Experience working with outside vendors, contractors, and officials
  • Worked on projects that involve coordinating between interdisciplinary teams and technical communication

$142,000—$189,000 USD

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.​
