The Role

Ecocem is shaping the future of low carbon cement with ambitions to deliver a 50% cut in CO2 emissions from cement by 2030. We have a new opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to join our Dublin team in our Ringsend Plant.

This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the production system by keeping it in optimal condition. You need to be able to organise the overall maintenance in addition to performing inspections and maintaining some equipment directly. We are looking for a thorough professional with a practical mind and excellent attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The primary job function is to maintain the plant in the best possible condition.

Requirements

Role Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage maintenance planning (daily, monthly and annual)
  • Organise preventive maintenance of the site: ball mill, separator, filters, pneumatic transport, silos...
  • Manage spare parts inventory.
  • Inspect, monitor, and maintain equipment including ball mill
  • Diagnoses potential faults in equipment
  • Manage electrical and mechanical company carrying out maintenance on site (including during periods of planned shutdown)
  • Interpret and modify technical diagrams or schematics for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems, etc.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Background in maintenance, mechanics, electronics, electromechanics, or automation is required, along with at least 5 years of industrial experience (cement industry if possible)
  • Track record of adhering to and enforcing safety regulations, particularly on projects under their supervision
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices

  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written
  • Manual dexterity and critical thinking skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent work ethic
  • Organised, trustworthy and dependable
  • Comfortable working on own Initiative and as part of the team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite including word, excel etc.
