The Job

As we continue on our exciting and pioneering journey at the forefront of life sciences and data science, we are looking for experienced proactive, passionate, self-motivated and creative thinking IT Analysts' who can empower, help, advise and support our business and colleagues.

The role of an IT Analyst is to ensure the smooth operation of the systems that are used by staff, and our customers. You will be expected to provide timely, courteous and professional service to all end users at all times. You will also be expected to have a proactive approach to the job at hand, assessing and finding problems before they become an issue.

You will be the first port of call for IT issues for our UK/Europe team, as well as supporting global colleagues remotely, dealing with issues or escalating them as needed. You will also be required to be well researched; and constantly improving your own knowledge of internal systems and processes as well as emerging technologies. Ensuring you are best placed to better inform the business and provide assistance to the company as both an assistant and advisor.

This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 1 day in our Cambridge (Hinxton) office, this role presents an excellent opportunity to help support our platform and develop your career with a company that is at the cutting edge of data science.

Requirements

Your essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience

● Knowledge in Administration skills in Mac OS, Windows and Linux

● Knowledge of Computer Networking, firewalls, network security and Azure Active Directory

● Diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, networking, and software issues

● Provisioning new hardware, software, and networking systems

● Proficiency in Azure/AWS cloud is essential, with experience of other cloud infrastructure a bonus

● Knowledge of Log management and monitoring systems

● Working experience in an Agile environment, particularly Scrum/Kanban.

● A team player with good interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills

● Excellent problem solving and decision making abilities

Desirable skills and experience

● Ideally having at least 2 years experience in a similar role

● Holding relevant IT certifications would be advantageous

● A flexible and proactive approach to work, with the ability to think strategically

● Proven experience of working as part of a remote team
