Job Description
Are you a professional ready to help launch Canada’s carbon removal industry?
Deep Sky is at the forefront of climate innovation, deploying cutting-edge carbon removal technologies that will help Canada—and the world—reach net zero. We are building one of the world's first large-scale carbon removal projects, grounded in science, engineered for impact, and driven by urgency. We're looking for a smart, driven, and curious individual—ideally with an engineering or environmental background—to take the lead on environmental and energy permitting, municipal and Indigenous engagement, and support our provincial government affairs work. This role is a unique opportunity to help define how an entirely new climate infrastructure industry grows responsibly, inclusively, and quickly.
As Director of Project Development & Community Partnerships, you will work closely with the Vice President of Policy, Community & Regulatory Affairs to lead Deep Sky’s regulatory and local engagement activities. This includes managing permitting processes (environmental, energy, and others), supporting project development across Canada, and building trusted relationships with municipal, Indigenous, and provincial stakeholders. Your work will be essential in enabling Deep Sky to deploy its carbon removal facilities in a way that is thoughtful, locally grounded, and aligned with Canada’s broader climate goals.
