Company Description: dClimate is a transformative platform bridging the gap between climate data producers and data consumers. Utilizing blockchain technology, dClimate enables transparent and secure data exchanges, revolutionizing climate data accessibility and utilization.

Job Overview:

dClimate is in search of a dedicated REDD+ and Project Origination Specialist with deep expertise in REDD+ project origination and a passion for sustainable conservation. This role will be instrumental in advancing our carbon projects, ensuring their alignment with both voluntary and compliance carbon market standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of REDD+ projects from concept to verification, ensuring all stages align with market standards.
  • Draft comprehensive Project Design Documents (PDD) tailored to each project's unique needs and objectives.
  • Engage and collaborate with project developers, ensuring projects are executed to the highest standards.
  • Stay informed about evolving voluntary and compliance carbon market dynamics to guide project strategies effectively.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with stakeholders across the carbon credit spectrum, including registries, verifiers, and buyers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the integration of technological tools and data analytics in the project origination process.
  • Regularly update the team on the progress of each project and provide insights to refine project approaches.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in REDD+ project origination and management.
  • Proven expertise in drafting Project Design Documents (PDD) for carbon markets projects
  • Familiarity with both voluntary and compliance carbon markets.
  • Experience working closely with project developers and other stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of major voluntary carbon standards, such as Verra and Gold Standard.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while ensuring strict adherence to timelines and deliverables.

Working Conditions: This position is full-time and remote. Applicants should be comfortable with flexible hours and capable of managing their own workload effectively.

Benefits and Perks: We offer a competitive benefits package including health insurance. The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $135,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
