Job Description

The Company

Cypress Creek Renewables (CCR) is a leading renewables IPP. We develop, finance, own and operate utility-scale and distributed solar and storage projects across the country. Today we own 2.2GW of solar and through our O&M Services business, we operate 4.5GW of solar projects.

The Role

As the Continuous Improvement and Lean Operations Manager reporting to the Director of Continuous Improvement, you will be the driving force behind implementing continuous improvement activities and processes, particularly in our software solution, KaiNexus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of continuous improvement activities and processes in KaiNexus.
  • Collaborate with process-owning departments (Revenue, Development, EPCM, Fleet, Solutions, etc.) to devise and execute a company-wide plan for Lean Standard Work in critical processes.
  • Work closely with departments to establish and implement a robust document control plan, managing project and non-project critical documents, including naming conventions, folder structures, access rights, and revision control. Coordinate with the Digital Team to integrate this plan into our digital systems.
  • Partner with the Director of Continuous Improvement and process-owning departments to institute daily management practices, leveraging visual management tools like kanbans to enhance visibility and achieve annual operating goals.
  • Apply Lean expertise to guide and mentor teams in Lean Problem Solving and Kaizen, driving operational improvements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field (Advanced degree beneficial).
  • 10 or more years of progressive process improvement leadership experience.
  • Expertise in developing a Quality Management System compatible with ISO 9001:2015.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret business needs into operational requirements.
  • Proven experience taking ownership of ideas from inception to delivery.
  • Proficient in implementing Lean methodologies, visual management, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, fostering collaboration across departments

Requirements/Work Environment:

  • Position location preferred as Durham, NC, Asheville, NC, Washington DC or other East Coast, but flexible to remote.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 30% of the time, as required.
