Today we own 2.2GW of solar and through our Operations and Maintenance Services business, Cypress Creek Solutions, we operate 4.8GW of solar projects. The Cypress Creek Solutions organization offers a variety of services to the solar and storage market including turnkey operations and maintenance contracts, module washing, array services, EPC milestone inspections, and Inverter Specialty Services.

The Role

Cypress Creek Renewables is seeking a highly motivated candidate with solar and storage experience to oversee and manage the daily operation of a rapidly growing portfolio of solar and storage assets with a focus on growing the assigned customer accounts. The Key Account Manager acts as the primary point of customer contact for an assigned portfolio of third party owned PV Facilities. The Key Account Manager will work closely with Operations Engineers and the Field Team to meet obligations of client contracts and requests.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Single Point of Contact for client communication
  • Manage overall customer satisfaction
  • Build, expand, and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Become subject matter expert on contract requirements for assigned portfolio(s)
  • Work closely with assigned Operations Engineer for technical requests relative to site performance
  • Actively manage, track, and update revenue opportunities in CRM in collaboration with inside sales
  • Conduct Account Planning exercises to forecast account revenue and identify revenue growth opportunities for the business leveraging all service offerings
  • Leverage customer contacts to secure pull through revenue opportunities for Cypress Creek’s standalone service offerings
  • Hit annual revenue targets set for accounts
  • Grow existing account revenue
  • Review work orders, preventative maintenance reports, thermal scans and work with various service offering leaders within the company to make recommendations to the customer for site improvements with positive ROI for the customer
  • Develop proposal responses to customer RFPs
  • Facilitate weekly or bi-weekly meetings with clients
  • Facilitate weekly internal meetings
  • Responsible for billing and warranty administration for assigned accounts
  • Responsible for onboarding new sites within existing accounts with Onboarding Manager
  • Participate in industry events
  • Engage with companies digital marketing activities

Preferred Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years professional experience in renewable energy industry or similar account management or sales role.
  • Proven ability to sell services and grow account revenue
  • Proven ability to manage customer relationships throughout the customer organization
  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand cost and price assumptions
  • Experience developing customer pricing and quotes in response to RFPs
  • Ability to influence internally and externally to resolve issues
  • Ability to project manage operations teams and provide executive summaries as needed
  • Project management experience desired.
  • Knowledge of electrical infrastructure including PV, ESS, switchgear and substation equipment
  • Self-directed and detail oriented
  • Able to act and adapt to a fast-paced business environment with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team, knowing when to seek help
  • Ability to lead customer calls
  • Proactive and solution-focused written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience administering contracts
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite
  • Ability to travel with the United States as required
