Our service enables businesses and couriers to deliver goods efficiently and sustainably on the last mile, and we are proud to be trusted by some of the world's most exciting delivery companies such as Gorillas, Flink, MAYD, Wolt, Just Eat Takeaway.com, as well as thousands of independent couriers. As we continue to expand and revolutionize the delivery industry, we are seeking a talented and motivated Operations Manager to join our team.As the Operations Manager for the UK, you will play a pivotal role in steering CYCLE's growth and operational excellence in our newst market. Your responsibilities will span across various facets of operations, team leadership, strategic development, and market expansion.

Operations Management:

  • Oversee local operations, with a focus on client satisfaction and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor and enhance operational efficiency to maintain a healthy bottom line across all three countries. Team Leadership and Development:
  • Hire, lead and mentor a team of lead mechanics.
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence and teamwork among operations and sales managers in these regions. Develop and Implement Regional Strategies:
  • Assist in formulating and articulating the strategy for the UK.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to implement strategic objectives, utilizing local resources effectively. Financial Oversight:
  • Manage the regional budget and financial health for the UK.
  • Drive growth initiatives and contribute to revenue generation in these markets. Market Expansion and Diversification:
  • Expand CYCLE's market share in the UK.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to diversify the customer base, minimizing risks in this region. Collaboration and Communication:
  • Maintain strong communication with HQ, providing feedback on regional product/process improvements.
  • Report to the COO.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to address specific requirements in the UK. Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration:
  • Engage with Central Ops and other regions for insights and best practices.
  • Refine strategies across regions based on shared experiences and regional nuances. Representation and Thought Leadership:
  • Act as CYCLE's representative at regional events and public relations activities in the UK.
  • Position the company as a thought leader in sustainable mobility across these markets.
  • Experience: Proven track record in Strategy, Operations, or Commercial roles with leadership experience, preferably in multi-country operations.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Dutch, Polish, or Italian is highly advantageous.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • C-level Engagement: Demonstrated ability to establish and leverage senior-level relationships across different cultural contexts.
  • Holistic Thinker: Ability to integrate business, strategy, finance, and legal aspects in overseeing complex, multi-country projects.
  • Operational Excellence: Expertise in managing day-to-day operations in fleet management, maintenance, logistics, customer support, etc., with a keen eye for process optimization.
  • Financial Management Skills: Strong capability in financial data analysis and budget management across multiple regions.
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to lead and influence across diverse cultural landscapes.
  • Team Synergy: Proven ability to foster productive and harmonious team dynamics, both internally and externally.
  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in the Mobility industry, especially in a multi-national context, is a significant plus.
