Job Description

Your Role in a Nutshell
Analyze CustomCells’ Environmental, Social & Governance landscape whilst developing and executing the ESG Strategy with a focus on environmental sustainability and meeting established goals around chemicals, waste, and greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction and carbon neutrality/net zero targets in addition to other environmental and social impact goals.

Your Role in Detail

  • Develop and implement ESG reporting strategy in line with industry best practices, standards and legal requirements
  • Support the ESG data platforms regarding ESG issues
  • Identify relevant ESG key figures and performance indicators, support in setting up an ESG reporting system and collect ESG data, coordinate group wide ESG reporting processes
  • Carry out risk assessments and scenario analyses, support and develop the non-financial risk framework, integrate sustainability risks into the risk management process and risk inventory
  • Prepare ESG reports, presentations and materials for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration between the cross-functional divisions and subsidiaries involved in ESG reporting and external auditors
  • Shape, develop and implement the Group-wide sustainability and ESG strategy, monitor and evaluate regulatory developments, present recommendations to management
  • Central point of contact for ESG/CSR issues
  • Environmental Sciences, Sustainability Management, Economics or Industrial Engineering graduate, or similar
  • Exposure in a manufacturing environment highly desirable - ideally Automotive or similar
  • Hands-on experience in sustainability reporting or several years‘professional experience in a similar role
  • Expert knowledge of ESG standards/reporting requirements according to GRI, CSRD, ESRS etc. and interest in sustainability management, additional qualification in CSR (e.g. as CSR manager) an advantage, knowledge of relevant sustainability standards and legislation (e.g. EU CSRD, EU Taxonomy, GRI, SASB, TCFD)
  • Experience in implementing ESG reporting systems (quantitative and qualitative data) an advantage
  • Experience in setting up sustainability management systems and conducting materiality analyses an advantage
  • Relevant experience in project management
  • High willingness to deal with ESG guidelines, standards and frameworks, including reporting, data analysis and stakeholder management
  • You’re passionate about strategy development and pragmatic implementation
  • You possess strong communication, analytical, conceptual and team skills
  • Fluent in English and German, willingness to travel
  • Permanent, full-time position
