We aim to align the long term interests of the climate with the future of global computing infrastructure. As data centers consume an exponentially growing power footprint to deliver technology to all connected devices, we are inspired by making sure that the energy meeting that demand is sourced in an environmentally responsible fashion. Crusoe co-locates mobile data centers with stranded energy resources, like flare gas and underloaded renewables, to deliver low-cost, carbon-negative distributed computing solutions. Crusoe Cloud is a managed cloud services platform powered by stranded energy that enables climate-friendly innovation in computationally intensive fields including artificial intelligence, graphics rendering and computational biology.

About This Role:

This Position is responsible for translating customer requirements into 3D structural models of mobile structures, electrical control cabinets, and standalone enclosures; creating and releasing fabrication drawings; supporting sales, purchasing, project management, and production through quote to customer development lifecycle of product.

A Day In The Life:

  • Design modular buildings, metal enclosures, specification sheets, bill of materials, assembly, and other fabrication documents.
  • Ensure product designs comply with regulatory, commercial code, customer specifications, engineering standards, company practices & procedures.
  • Responsible for proper/timely processing of shop drawings, product submittals, operation and maintenance manuals, and recording all as-built drawings.
  • Conduct model reviews and drawing checks as part of the engineering design release process.
  • Lead cost reduction and manufacturing cost and efficiency DFMA and DFx design reviews.
  • Execute Engineering change orders as part of product release and lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Purchasing, and Manufacturing team in support of customer inquiries, problem resolution, and creative thinking to maximize value for the customer and organization
  • Other job duties as assigned.

You Will Thrive In This Role If:

  • Proficient with 3D modeling software, specifically AutoCAD Inventor, AutoDesk Vault
  • Experience in modular building structural design for Power Distribution Centers and Data Centers; Standalone metal structures & electrical enclosures
  • Familiar with building codes, energy codes, and compliance checks.
  • Knowledge of metals and materials used for fabrication.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of creativity, foresight and mature judgment in planning, organizing and guiding extensive programs and activities of importance
  • Have a good attitude and willingness to learn
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Manufacturing with 3-5 years of experience, preferred disciplines are Mechanical, Process, Inducturial, and Manufacturing
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in using Material requirements planning (MRP) software
  • Requires lift, lower, push and pull all sizes of merchandise up to 50 lbs
  • Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily
  • Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back
  • All job offers are contingent upon receiving a negative drug/alcohol test. This position is subject to random drug testing

Compensation Range:

Compensation will be paid in the range of $100,000 - $118,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
