Like many companies in the micro mobility space, Cowboy has gone through a period of significant change in 2025. Now in 2026 we are entering a new chapter of the company with the new majority shareholder Rebirth.
This phase is about strengthening our foundations - the product, our processes and our teams.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced Procurement Leader to lead and develop our procurement function in all aspects from strategy formulation to hands-on execution. You will be responsible for the procurement KPIs at Cowboy, and you will work closely with the Rebirth Group strategic Purchasing team, to drive synergies in direct and indirect materials.
You will be responsible for supplier relationship management, optimising the sourcing footprint of Cowboy, our BOM and indirect material cost and working capital.
We’re looking for a leader with a clear vision of how to build a world-class procurement function including key procurement processes and a well-performing and excellent supplier base.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading and developing the procurement function at Cowboy in close collaboration with the Rebirth Groupe, including strategy formulation, execution and KPI setting and management for direct and indirect Materials
- Formulating sourcing strategies for key components, including the preferred number of suppliers, phasing out ineffective suppliers, and driving pro-active risk mitigation.
- Represent Cowboy Procurement at Rebirth Group level
- Managing our procurement spend and optimising our supplier base. Overseeing all aspects of BOM cost over product lifetime, and applying expert negotiation skills to achieve cost-effective outcomes.
- Leading supplier discussions and negotiations to secure and maintain a stable, and well-performing supplier base while optimising total costs (TCO).
- Owning supplier relationships, driving contract coverage and being the escalation point for suppliers not performing adequately in areas such as Quality, Logistics, and New Product Introduction.
- Setting up a clear process of supplier performance management, including regular Review Meetings with input from cross-functional teams.
- Overseeing and optimizing our indirect spend
Requirements
Who we are looking for
- You have a successful track record in operating in strategic procurement positions
(Experience in Micromobility or automotive is a plus). - You have experience in handling procurement in both large and small companies.
- You demonstrate thorough understanding of procurement principles and concepts.
- You are a great negotiator and a gifted relationship manager.
- You have experience managing suppliers across various geographical areas, with particular attention to suppliers in Asia and Europe.
- You are a strategic leader, with a hands-on mentality and a strong business acumen.
- You are passionate about our mission and the industry.
