The Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Sales Account Executive with proven technical sales experience both direct and via channel. The focus is to increase account growth in decarbonisation software, services and solutions to support the growth plans mentioned above.

We operate in the manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food and beverages, commercial real estate, mining and shipping sectors. You will be involved in the sale and design of innovative energy efficient solutions tailored specifically to the demands of each client site.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to be part of an exciting software-as-a-service (SaaS) business combined with specialised complex engineering solutions.

The Right Candidate:

You will be responsible for leading sales with new prospects as well as account based sales back into existing customers and sites to ensure high renewal and customer satisfaction levels.

Measures of success include new customer acquisition rates, up-selling, cross-selling, customer satisfaction and contribution to overall sales team and business success.

Responsibilities:

  • You will utilise your deep technical knowledge of our industry to find and execute decarbonisation wins that can be demonstrated and analysed through CoolPlanetOS therefore experience selling into this industry is a must.
  • Lead Account Executives with solution selling into prospects and existing account base in planning, preparing and executing strategic deals in complex sales cycles
  • Model the financial business case / ROI associated with each sales opportunity
  • Successfully match customer pain / requirements to proposed solutions
  • Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition
  • Manage all technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses
  • Effectively communicate client needs to the R&D / Product Owners for future product enhancements
  • Collect and document competitive intelligence to sequester and win

Requirements and skills:

  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in a relevant discipline is necessary
  • 7-10 years experience of solution selling sales in a similar industry
  • Proven track record supporting complex enterprise Software and Engineering solutions
  • Strong contract negotiation and closing skills
  • Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships at all levels throughout an organisation
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience
  • Work with cross functional teams such as mechanical, electrical, process, thermal, refrigeration, software, IT, automation and instrumentation to contribute to concept designs and detailed designs for PoVs and ROI
  • Develop solution design calculations, budget pricing and sales presentations
  • Oversee detailed design on solutions ensuring development of detailed Scope of Works and associated specifications and detailed drawings
  • Evaluate designs to ensure that all regional, national and international regulations, standards and codes are being met at proposal stage
  • Assist in design specifications, detailed scope of work documents, test protocols and test reports for a wide range of industrial and commercial applications including plant upgrades, motor upgrades (including VSD and Fixed Speed Motor Controller installation and integration)
