Job Description
Our Mission
At constellr, we're harnessing the power of space to solve one of Earth’s greatest challenges: climate resilience & security in a changing world. Our thermal satellite constellation delivers the most accurate land surface temperature data on the market, equipping commercial players, governments, defence agencies, and global institutions with the thermal intelligence they need to make strategic decisions– from national security and infrastructure to agriculture and climate resilience.
As a fast-scaling company with offices in Brussels, Freiburg, Munich, Washington and Toulouse, our multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and strategists is building the future of space-based Earth observation
Your Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineer to join our spacecraft engineering team. In this role, you’ll play a key role in the design, analysis, and optimisation of structural components and assemblies for our own fleet of satellites. You’ll work closely within a multidisciplinary team to ensure structural integrity, manufacturability, and mission success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of lightweight, high-performance structural components for spacecraft from satellite to subsystem level
- Perform structural analysis using FEA tools to validate designs under launch and space environments.
- Collaborate with thermal, mechanical, and systems engineers to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Support material selection, manufacturing processes, and assembly procedures.
- Generate and maintain detailed CAD models, drawings, and documentation, including specifications, analysis reports, and design review materials.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support mechanical and structural testing, verification, and validation activities.
Location: This position is offered on a hybrid or remote basis in Germany or Belgium. We have offices in Munich, Berlin, Freiburg (Germany), and Brussels (Belgium). Occasional travel for team meetings & suppliers should be expected.
